The bead gets bigger, Core vessels and more!

There is more one can do on the torch besides beads. Working with beads gives you some kind of connection to the history of glass. One of the natural outgrowths of bead making, both historically and today, is the formation of core vessels. Making core vessels is a great way to experiment with different techniques, processes, composition, color and design, on small scale vessels. I hope to show you how to take some of your bead skills and apply them to core vessels.

The primary purpose of this workshop is the stimulation of individual creativity and to provide enough skills for the realization of their ideas. Class will cover many technical aspects of lampworking, including both solid forming and blown work. Also included will be information related to history, general physics of glass.
